What I Can Tell You About My Travel To Hong Kong

The first time stepping foot into Hong Kong was when our family did a day tour crossing over from ShenZhen, China a couple of years back. There were only 4 things I remembered from that trip; firstly I was having a slight fever, secondly, Hong Kong was going through a period of SARS outbreak, thirdly, we walked along Avenue of Stars, lastly would be the cup of silky smooth milk tea at one of the ‘Cha Chaan Teng’ (Cantonese pronunciation for ‘Café’).

To fill in those memory gaps, this trip summarises my experience in Hong Kong end of December 2017. 

So hang in there! I have got some good recommendations for you.

Itinerary:

Day 1: 

Singapore – Hong Kong

Check in to Inn Hotel at Yau Ma Tei 盛世酒店

Times Square 时代广场

Causeway Bay 铜锣湾

Walked to Tin Hau for dinner at Mak’s Noodle 麦奀雲吞麵世家 and dessert 

(Go for Sister Wah Beef Brisket 華姐清湯腩 for dinner instead) 

Day 2:

Breakfast near hotel at Hei Wan Dim Sum Specialist 喜運點心房

Fuk Wah Street Market 福華街 at Sham Shui Po MTR Station

Chan Kwong Kei Roast Shop 陈光记燒味饭店

Kam Wah Café and Bakery 金華冰廳 at Mong Kok MTR Station

Choi Hung and Ping Shek Estate 彩虹邨 at Choi Hung MTR Station

Jockey Club Creative Arts Centre at Shek Kip Mei MTR Station

Arashiyama Japanese Restaurant 嵐山日本料理 at Tsim Tsa Hsui MTR Station

Day 3:

Dragon’s back hike 龍脊 near Shau Kei Wan MTR Station

Jardine’s Kitchen 渣甸山小厨 (one of the best Dim Sum and Cantonese dishes I’ve had)

Tong Chui Street Market 通菜街

Weng Yuen Noodle Place 榮園麵家at Mong Kok

Day 4:

Lin Heung Tea House 蓮香樓 at Sheung Wan

Lan Fong Yuen 蘭芳園
